Our History
The residence of the first Marqués de Muros, Constantino Fernández-Vallín y Álvarez-Albuerne (1830-1895), is now the «Hotel Boutique Villa del Marqués».
The residence was always frequented by notable figures and friends, such as Sabino Fernández Campo, military officer and 1st Count of Latores; Ambassador Don Fernando Olivié González-Pumariega; Navy Captain Ángel Liberal Fernández; and the renowned economist Juan Velarde Fuertes.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the Casa del Marqués de Muros was used as a filming location for the Spanish series Alma (2019-2020), an original production for Netflix.
The Surroundings
The location of Hotel Boutique Villa del Marqués makes us different and even more special, as if we were a hidden treasure. It is a quiet area close to the commercial areas of Oviedo, Gijón or Avilés.
We are located 2 km from the magnificent Playa del Aguilar and others in its surroundings. Asturias airport is just 5 km away.
The process
Victor Antuña, was in charge of the restoration of the Casa del Marqués de Muros, changing its distribution structure and, together with a great team, creating what is now the Hotel Boutique Villa del Marqués, a cozy and sophisticated space that exudes a warm feeling of hospitality.
For the decoration of the ten rooms, common areas and corridors, wooden and plaster moldings, wallpaper and marble were incorporated.
A panoramic steel and glass elevator was installed.
There was an important restoration of the original oak and pine floors. The unique and distinct marquetry doors were brought back to life by the artist Toni Solís, making them one of the most precious features of the building, a sign of authenticity. Precisely, this restoration pays homage to the time in which the palace was built, originally onhabited by the Marqués de Muros, Constantino Fernández-Vallín y Álvarez-Albuerne.
